01

Who We Are

The company responsible for your information.

LiveBits UK ("we", "us", "our") is a digital agency based in London, United Kingdom. We provide web design and development, digital marketing, design and content services.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the personal information we collect through this website and in the course of working with you.

02

Information We Collect

Only what you give us, plus the basics any website needs.

Enquiry, contact and quote forms

When you contact us, request a quote or book a consultation, we collect the details you enter: usually your name, email address, phone number, company, the service you are interested in and your message.

Free website audit

If you request an audit, we collect the website address you want reviewed and the email address we should send the results to.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Blog comments

If you comment on an article, we collect the name, email address and comment you submit. Your name and comment may be shown publicly; your email address is never published.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

03

How We Use Your Information

To answer you, do the work and keep you informed if you ask us to.

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes, proposals and audits.
  • To deliver and manage the services you engage us for, including invoicing and support.
  • To send our newsletter, only if you have subscribed. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To publish blog comments you choose to submit.
  • To keep our website secure and improve how it works.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

We never sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

05

Cookies & Local Storage

No advertising or tracking cookies.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.

Our About and Contact pages show maps provided by Google Maps. When those maps load, Google may set its own cookies and collect information under the Google Privacy Policy. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings.

If we add analytics or other tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

06

Sharing Your Information

Only with trusted providers who help us run our business.

We share personal information only where necessary: with service providers who host our website, handle our email and support our day-to-day operations, under contracts that require them to keep it secure and use it only on our instructions.

We may also share information with professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, or where we are required to by law. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

07

International Transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

08

How Long We Keep It

No longer than we need to.

  • Enquiries and quotes: for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted if we do not go on to work together.
  • Client records: for the length of our relationship and afterwards as required by law; UK financial records are generally kept for six years.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Blog comments: while the article is published, or until you ask us to remove your comment.
09

Keeping It Secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.

10

Your Rights

You are in control of your information.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.
  • Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our newsletter.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

11

Our website and services are aimed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
